KOA RK73H Flat Chip Resistors (Precision Grade)

The KOA RK73H series are precision-grade flat chip resistors designed for high reliability in demanding applications. Featuring a small size, light weight, and excellent heat and weather resistance due to their metal glaze thick film construction, these resistors offer high stability with a triple-layer electrode structure. They are compatible with automated mounting processes and both flow and reflow soldering. The lead-free terminations meet EU-RoHS requirements, with exceptions for lead glass in the electrode, resistor element, and glass. Many models are AEC-Q200 qualified.

Precautions for Use

The substrate of chip resistors is alumina. Cracks may occur at the solder connection due to thermal expansion differences. This is more likely with larger sizes (W2H/W3A/W3A2) under repeated thermal stress, ambient temperature changes, or load ON/OFF cycles. Design considerations are crucial, especially for applications with significant temperature variation or load cycling. RK73H1F resistors may be susceptible to damage from static electricity during equipment assembly.
