  1. Polarity: These are DC electrolytic capacitors and are polarized. Ensure correct polarity is observed as marked on the capacitor body to prevent short circuits or damage. Use bipolar capacitors if polarity is uncertain. DC electrolytic capacitors are not suitable for AC applications.
  2. Voltage: Do not apply voltage greater than the rated voltage. Exceeding the rated voltage increases leakage current and may damage the capacitor. It is recommended to operate at 70-80% of the rated voltage for extended life.
  3. Ripple Current: Do not allow excessive ripple current to flow through the capacitor. Exceeding the permissible ripple current can cause overheating, reduced capacitance, and damage to the capacitor.
