The CM1412 is a dual, low-pass filter array designed for headset/microphone EMI filtering and ESD protection. It integrates two pi-style filters (C-R-C) to reduce EMI/RFI emissions while safeguarding sensitive electronic components from electrostatic discharge. This device is custom-designed for microphone ports in cellular telephones and similar devices, offering over 35 dB attenuation in the 800 to 2700 MHz range. The filters support bidirectional filtering and AC signals without distorting audio. The CM1412 provides robust ESD protection, dissipating strikes up to 8 kV (IEC 61000-4-2) and 15 kV (MIL-STD-883 HBM). Its small package and low weight make it ideal for portable electronics such as cellular telephones, PDAs, and notebook computers. It features OptiGuard coating for improved assembly reliability and is available in a space-saving, low-profile Chip Scale Package (CSP) with lead-free finishing.
